  • Covers now download automatically for .chd games. The library used to read a game's serial only from .bin/.iso/.cue/.pbp/.ccd/.m3u files, so a CHD without the serial in its name (or a serial.txt beside it) got no cover unless its title happened to match by name. The emulation core is now asked to open the image and read the serial from the disc itself, so the serial is found from the disc's contents, whatever the file is called.
  • The same works for every format the core can open, not only CHD: .ecm, .mds and any image the hand-written reader could not parse (for example a .cue whose .bin was renamed in an unusual way). The fast built-in reader still goes first, so .bin/.cue games are scanned as quickly as before and the core is only used when that reader fails.
  • Multi-disc .m3u playlists made of CHD files now get their cover and serial from the first disc, with no serial.txt needed.
  • Serials read by the core are remembered in a small cache file (path, size and modification time), including the discs that have no serial at all. Opening a CHD means reading its header and compression map, so the cache keeps the library scan fast after the first start; a file that changes is read again.
  • .ecm (ECM-compressed images) and .mds (Alcohol 120% descriptors) now show up in the game library and are found when the app looks for a game's files. The PC sync tool also copies .ecm files.
  • Light gun and "Touchpad as a mouse" are now off by default for new installs and after a factory reset. Existing settings are kept.
  • The descriptions of "NeGcon in compatible games", "Light gun" and "Touchpad as a mouse" no longer talk about a single kind of game: they say that every game that supports the device uses it (racing games, Ace Combat..., the games made for the PlayStation Mouse, and every game that supports a light gun in Automatic). Updated in all five languages.
  • The version bump shows the factory-reset prompt on first launch. Resetting also clears the per-game settings.
