- Video sync (Settings > Graphics > Rendering), on by default: the game runs one frame per screen refresh and the sound is sped up or slowed down by under 0.5 % to keep up, for smoother motion. It works when the screen and the game have nearly the same rate (a 60 Hz screen and an NTSC game); otherwise the sound sync is used. Turn it off to go back to syncing to the sound.
- Internal resolution offers every step of the core, from 1x to 16x (3x, 5x, 6x and 9x are marked for 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4K), and 9x is the default.
- Fast CD loading is now a choice from Off to 10x, and Run-ahead goes up to 10 frames, as in the core.
- Region lists NTSC-J, in the core's order: Auto, NTSC-J, NTSC-U, PAL.
- Preview: with a game open, press the touchpad in Settings to hide them and see the paused picture with your changes, with a card at the top; press the touchpad again to go back.
