Photo Review now works with folders and Google Drive, not just Apple Photos. Add a folder on your Mac or an external drive, or a Google Drive folder through Google Drive for desktop, and its photos and videos are listed largest first with the same buttons. Smaller copies go in a Compressed folder inside it; deleted files go to the Trash, or to Google Drive's trash for Drive files.
Also new:
- Photos can be compressed too: RAW photos become 10-bit HEIC, JPEGs become HEIC (HDR kept), and Live Photos can become stills.
- Titles, captions and keywords carry over to the smaller copies.
- Pick many: pick the biggest items in one go.
- Copy originals to a folder or drive before deleting them.
- The app opens in its own window instead of a browser tab, shows progress on its Dock icon, and tells you when a queue finishes or a new version is out.
