Beta 2 of 3.1. HACS offers it when the repository's pre-release switch is on: Settings → Devices & services → Entities, clear the filter that hides disabled entities, enable switch.hacasa_nova_pre_release and turn it on. With the switch on, each beta shows up as a normal update. Turn it off to go back to stable releases only. Please report what breaks in Discussions or an issue.

- Phone bar reworked: Home · rooms · two shortcuts · More as icon tabs that fill the bar, only the active one shows its name, the search button stays separate; the rooms tab lights up only when you are in a room. Less space below the bar. Prefer the 3.0 layout? Settings → General → Bar on phones → at the top.
- Card picker (Add card) like Home Assistant's: Devices, HaCasa cards (weather, agenda, waste, energy, attention, home thermostat, scenes, light scenes, and a new group or graph configured right there) and Your own cards (templates). Groups and graphs no longer have settings tabs; a tap on one in edit mode edits it.
- Template cards: written right in the picker (once for that page, or kept in your library), the entity chosen when placing (
$entity), fields marked Filled in when placing. - Conditions: a Zichtbaar section with one row per setting; Simple (entity · is / is not / greater / less · value) or Template, and Show when true / false on one line.
- Drag in edit mode: a copy of the card follows the pointer, the slot it will land in stays dashed. Hidden cards get a banner at the bottom. Cards you added are removed with the bin; automatic cards hide.
- One pill style for every choice button in popups and settings; Card defaults use it too.
- Non-admin users (#144): template cards say only for administrators, the System page says why Supervisor figures are missing, installing an update opens Home Assistant's dialog.
- Room cap gone (#146): automatic room mode shows every area with devices; Settings → Rooms → Maximum sets a limit if you want one.
- Room photo lookup (#149): paths that gave a 404 are remembered for the session.
- Plurals (#152): "1 sensor", "1 battery low", "1 update".
- Popups (#153): a popup whose entity disappears while it renders closes instead of breaking the panel.
- Languages: adding one is a single file in
src/lang/(#166); the language menu is sorted by name. - Fixes: the × on the add popup closes on its icon, the ••• menu is readable over popup text, the sensors page toggle stays on one line on phones.
