This Linux-only release has more robust keyboard detection on Wayland, and fixes startup errors on Ubuntu that developed after recent system updates.
It also includes a quick 'invert colors' command for improved visibility in some scenarios.
Feedback always appreciated!
Fixes
- Robust keyboard detection on Wayland. Issues users had with (typically external) keyboards not affecting Mouseless should be resolved now.
- There may still be some issues with certain KVM switches or other specialized hardware.
- Startup issues on Ubuntu that may have suddenly appeared (due to system updates) should be resolved.
- Example error:
Error in main_window._initialize_core: Page load timed out. - I plan on exploring improved dependency management, to help prevent this issue from recurring.

Enhancements
invert colorscommand (in the 'overlay' section of the keymap), allows you to invert all the colors on the overlay, which can help with visibility at times. Execute it again to toggle back (and forth).
Known issues
- Hyprland: I will look into compatibility before the next release. Thank you for your patience!
- Ubuntu 25.10: Mouseless may not work for you. I'll be adding an Ubuntu 25.10 build in the next release (maybe replacing the 25.04 build).
- Fedora 43: I haven't heard any complaints, so I assume the Fedora 42 build is working, but regardless, I will probably specifically target v43 with the next release, and eliminate the v41 build.
