This release eliminates the need for SSL configuration for certain users on corporate proxies, allows non-admin installation on Windows, fixes Mouseless on certain Linux distros after recent package updates, and fixes some issues with system tray icons.
Feedback is always appreciated!
Enhancements
- Mouseless now uses the system certificate store for network connection. This will eliminate the need to specify a custom cert for some users on corporate proxies. Some users may still need to specify a cert or have authentication issues, depending on the proxy configuration -- please let me know in the feedback thread, and I will continue to work on getting Mouseless to 'just work' in each situation.
- On Windows, you can now select whether to install for current user only (no admin privileges required) or for all users (admin privileges required). You can also now select the install location.
Fixes
- On Linux, Mouseless stopped working on some distros recently (blank windows, no overlay) after system package updates. This release should fix those issues.
- On Mac and Windows, status menu / system tray icons should now correctly display when an update is available and when the app is disabled.
