Experimental: a Cairn companion for the Heltec Mesh Node T114 (#44). It builds but hasn't run on a T114 yet. Please tell us what you see.

Cairn 129 for the Heltec Mesh Node T114 -- companion test build (2026-11-07)
For the Heltec Mesh Node T114 (nRF52840, SX1262, 1.14" TFT), V1 or V2. Not for the T096: it has its own
build in the Cairn 129 release. Nothing in it can damage the board, and you can always copy MeshCore or
Meshtastic back the same way.
What it is:
- The T096's one-button screen on the T114's display: the Home dashboard (clock, date and time zone,
phone link, GPS, nodes heard, uptime), Messages, Nodes, Spectrum, GPS (Off / On / Eco) and the Menu
with its Settings, including Time zone.
- White on black: the T096's colour themes need the T096's own display driver.
- Pair it from the Cairn app (CairnOS) or the MeshCore app, as any companion. The app sets the clock and,
in CairnOS 1.5, the time zone each time it connects.
The online update never offers this build, and a T114 on it is never offered one: copy the next build
by hand. The T114 repeater build stays in the normal Cairn 129 release.

INSTALL IT
1. Plug the T114 into a computer with a USB-C data cable.
2. Double-tap the Reset button. A USB drive appears.
3. Copy the .uf2 above onto that drive. It disconnects by itself and the T114 restarts into Cairn.
Back up your node's private key from the app first: this build hasn't been tried over
another firmware's data yet.
WHAT TO TELL US
- Does the screen show Home, the right way up and readable?
- Does the button work: a click steps the pages, a hold acts?
- Does it pair? Is the pairing PIN on the screen?
- With a GPS module fitted: does the GPS page find a fix?
- A boot log helps either way: open a serial monitor at 115200 baud, press Reset, and copy the first
60 lines or so.
