Cairn 127 lets you block nodes on the device, sharpens the text on every colour screen, adds a live radio page you can open in a browser, and gives the one-button boards a page for each node.
Highlights:
- Block a node on the device. Long-press it in Nodes, or use Block… in a node's More sheet, a chat's actions or a message's actions. Everything it sends is dropped from then on: adverts, DMs, room posts, and its channel messages by name. Settings › LoRa › Contacts › Blocked lists them and unblocks one. On the touch boards, the M9, the T-Deck and the T-Display SF32. On the Wio Tracker L1 Pro, DV1 and e-ink: Block on a node in Nodes or Block sender in a message's replies, and Settings › Radio › Blocked. The one-button boards have it too (below).
- Live page in your browser (L2 Pro, Heltec V4 touch, M9, T-Deck, T-LoRa Pager): turn on Settings › Wi-Fi › Live page, then open
http://<the device's address>on the same Wi-Fi. It shows the radio settings, noise floor, a two-minute activity graph, the packets and nodes heard, and the battery, GPS and memory, updated every second. Read only, off by default, and Bluetooth stays on. - Sharper text on the T-Deck, L2 Pro, Heltec V4 touch, M9 and T-LoRa Pager: small text in a heavier weight, and dim text drawn in the full text colour on every theme. The L2 Pro also loses the soft grey edge around letters.
- T096 and the other one-button boards: a page for each node. Hold on Nodes, click to a node, hold to open it: when it was heard, hops, key and kind, then Ping and Block. Settings › Blocked unblocks.
- T-Deck: the trackball keeps up with a slow roll, and no longer jumps back or sideways when a ball reports stray directions.
- T-LoRa Pager: larger text with wider battery and spectrum graphs, music controls on the wheel with a Stop button, and a fix for fast typists: rolling from Space onto a key typed a digit.
Checked on a device: the T-Deck's trackball and the live page on a T-Deck, and the Pager's larger text. Not checked yet on a device: the one-button node pages and the Pager's music controls, so please report what you see.
Update
- On Cairn 108 to 126 (L2 Pro, Heltec V4 touch, ThinkNode M9, T-Deck, T-Display SF32, T-LoRa Pager): Settings › System › Firmware update: Check, Download, Install. The new build starts on trial and goes back to the old one by itself if it fails to start. On the T-Display SF32, dock the core on the keyboard board first (it carries the Wi-Fi chip).
- Heltec V4 + Expansion Kit V1: not in this release. It has its own experimental pre-release until a kit confirms the blank-screen fix, so the online update on a kit stays on 126.
- T-Deck started from an SD-card launcher: don't use Update on 121 or earlier (122 and later are fine). Copy
MeshCore-TDeckPlus-Cairn127-2026-11-03-update.binto the card and install it from the launcher, as you installed Cairn. - Over USB on an ESP32 board: the
-full.bingoes at0x0, after Erase Flash, and erases everything. The-update.bingoes at0x10000and keeps your data. If the board last updated over Wi-Fi, clear the boot selector first, as in the ESP32 install guide. - Wio Tracker L1 Pro, DV1, L1 e-ink, the room server and the T096: double-tap Reset and copy the board's
.uf2onto the drive that appears (UF2 guide). Updating keeps your identity, contacts, channels and settings. - Compact repeaters: write the
-repeater-update.binat0x10000, or copy the-repeater.uf2. They don't update over Wi-Fi. - Going back to 126: 127 only adds a block list and the Live page setting. 126 ignores both and keeps everything else; blocked nodes are heard again until you update.
- T-LoRa Pager: pick the file for your radio (it's on the box and the back label). SX1262 units take
TLoraPager, LR1121 units takeTLoraPagerLR1121; the wrong one runs but has no radio. The online update keeps to the radio you installed. - A board without Cairn: write the board's
-full.bin(ESP32 install guide), copy the.uf2(UF2 guide), or run the SF32 installer (SF32 install guide).

The compact repeater files (-repeater in the name) are rebuilt from the same tree: Heltec T096 and T114 (.uf2), and the Heltec Wireless Tracker, Tracker V2, V2, V3, V4 and V4-R8 (-repeater-full.bin and -repeater-update.bin). Cairn 127 runs on MeshCore 1.18.0, as 118 to 126 did. SHA256SUMS.txt covers every file: shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt.
Not in this release, each as its own experimental pre-release (what experimental builds are): the LilyGO T5 E-Paper S3 Pro, the SenseCAP MeshPager X2 and the Heltec V4 + Expansion Kit V1.
Added
- Blocking nodes, on the touch boards, the M9, the T-Deck, the T-Display SF32, the Wio Tracker L1 family and the one-button boards, up to 32. A blocked node's DMs are still acknowledged, so it stops resending them.
- Live page (Settings › Wi-Fi). About 1 KB of RAM, plus a few KB of PSRAM per open browser page. It lays out in one, two or three columns by the window's width.
- One-button boards: node pages with Ping and Block, and Settings › Blocked with how many packets have been dropped.
- Heltec V4 touch: USB drive mode (Settings › Storage › USB drive): the microSD card as a disk on a computer.
- Wheel and trackball scrub graphs (Battery, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanners, Spectrum): once the cursor line is up, the wheel or ball moves it until Back.
- T-LoRa Pager: music controls on the wheel, hidden until OK, with a Stop button.
Changed
- Settings › Wi-Fi still fits one screen: Live page took Saved's place, and Saved moved to the network list's footer (Rescan | Saved).
- Long-press sheets and action pages: taller buttons where there's room, and labels that wrap instead of being cut.
- Node detail: a labelled More button instead of the small "…".
- L2 Pro Nodes bar: less space above the list and larger filter and sort buttons.
- Battery: the T-Deck, L2 Pro and Heltec V4 touch drop their CPU to 80 MHz while the screen is on and nothing is moving, as the Pager and M9 already did.
Fixed
- T-Deck: a trackball that moved only when spun fast. The driver counted one edge of each sensor pulse; it now counts both, and a stray pulse in a new direction needs a second one before it moves.
- T-LoRa Pager: rolling from Space onto a key typed a digit.
- Removing many contacts at once (Nodes › Select › Remove) is quick; 510 contacts on an M9 took minutes.
- A Bluetooth PIN that couldn't be saved no longer reports success.
