Important
In this release we moved to v1beta1.EnvironmentConfigs instead of v1alpha1, nothing changes for real-life setups where the api-server knows how to translate between the two and serve the right one, but users users using commands such as crossplane beta render and passing EnvironmentConfigs as extra-resources will now have to provide v1beta1 (just bumping the ApiVersion as nothing else changed between the two.
