New features in v4.5.0
- Broadcast GM view — A GM can share their canvas view with players by pressing
Z(rebindable in Controls) or with a new toggle on the token controls. Players on the same scene pan and zoom along, with each player's zoom matched so they see the same height of map whatever their window size. The GM's screen is outlined while broadcasting, and the broadcast ends on its own on a scene change. - Players keep control while following — A player who moves their own view keeps it, and eases back to the GM's view two seconds after letting go. Players can opt out of following entirely in the Interface Elements tab.
- Compact notifications — An optional layout that shows notifications as small pills at the top center of the screen, stacked behind the newest one. The folded pill names the source of the notifications (a module, the system or Foundry itself) with the count and the icon of the most urgent one. Clicking the stack spreads it out with the full messages. Progress bars such as scene loading are unaffected.
Compatibility
- Compact activity cards now work alongside midi-qol on dnd5e 5.x. Midi keeps its roll buttons, while its attack and damage results are shown as compact rows with hit and miss per target. Retroactive advantage is disabled for rolls midi made.
Fixes
- Small adjustment in background color of chat cards
Updating
The module now declares a socket for the broadcast feature.
