This release brings a Docker image, and Gofer can now open your browser when it starts.
Docker image
- Gofer is now published as a Docker image at
ghcr.io/cristianadrielbraun/gofer, for amd64 and arm64. Each release is tagged with its version (0.9.1), its minor version (0.9) andlatest. - The image runs in personal mode by default, keeps its data in the
/datavolume, and accepts every setting as an environment variable. - An example
compose.yamlgets you started. The new Docker section in docs/setup.md covers a reverse proxy, rotating the setup token, backups and upgrades.
Open the browser on start
- Set
GOFER_OPEN_BROWSER=trueand Gofer opens its address in your default browser as soon as it's ready. It's off by default, so servers and containers never try. - It works on Linux, macOS and Windows, and under WSL it opens the Windows browser.
Docs
- The README is shorter, with setup details moved to docs/setup.md, and there's a new SECURITY.md on how to report vulnerabilities.
Gofer remains pre-1.0. I'm actively using and improving it, but please keep backups and test your setup before relying on it for anything critical.
