- Claude Opus 5.5 is the new default — Anthropic's newest Opus (released 2026-09-22) is available on direct Anthropic connections, on AWS Bedrock (us/eu/global inference profiles) and on other Pi-backed Anthropic connections, with the full 1M-token context window at $4/$20 per million tokens — cheaper than Opus 4.8. New connections default to it; existing connections keep the model they are pinned to, and Opus 4.8 stays selectable. Opus 5.5 runs with adaptive thinking always on, like Fable: the "Off" thinking level now means low-effort adaptive thinking on this model. Claude Opus 5 is registered as well, so it shows its real 1M context instead of 200K. Models that appear in the live Anthropic model list before Craft Agents knows them now take their context window from the API instead of falling back to 200K.

- Claude Agent SDK 0.3.258 → 0.3.280 — Claude Code 2.1.280 parity, with no breaking changes. Brings the
verbatimPromptsoption, MCP resource reading, faster first-turn startup (no fixed wait for deferred MCP servers), fixed usage totals on resumed sessions, and clearer errors when an account needs verification or cloud credentials are rejected. Craft Agents now records the system prompt once per session so a resumed conversation keeps its cache prefix and thinking blocks, and keeps the task-tracking tools available on older Claude models that the SDK stopped offering them to by default. - Pi SDK 0.85.1 → 0.87.1 — Fixes #1032. Pi-backed connections (Anthropic API key through the Craft backend, AWS Bedrock, GitHub Copilot) now list Claude Opus 5.5, and OpenAI connections gain GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna. Upstream fixes included: Fable 5.1 no longer refuses split-turn compaction summaries, and Anthropic OAuth requests report the current Claude Code version. DeepSeek's retired
