Dogmatix 1.3 — covers and versions, a real download queue, smarter scans, RomM catalogue, search everywhere and a new Collection section
Installs over 1.2 and keeps your library, downloads, favourites and settings (the database is upgraded on first launch).
Library
- Covers: square box art in front of every game (libretro-thumbnails, no API key; RomM covers first when you use RomM), in the Library and in Downloads. Settings → Covers in the list turns them off.
- One row per game: regions, revisions and sources of a game are grouped, and A downloads the preferred version — every disc of it — for your Preferred region and favourite languages. The details popup lists every version.
- Recommendations with no search or filter: For you, Complete the series, More for and, with a RAWG key, Popular on your platforms.
- Similar games from the details popup, across consoles.
- Genre and Decade filters, sort by console and by decade, and jump by letter with ◀ ▶.
- Coloured console and tag chips, with a colour picker made for the gamepad.
- Active filters show as chips under the search box; the sort order sits next to it.
Search
- The Library search finds everything: downloads, sources, settings and Collection tools, grouped under the games, with "Also in: …" to jump there.
- Recent searches under the empty search box.
Downloads
- A queue that survives restarts: START enters move mode (▲ ▼ move, LB puts it next, Y holds it); search box and chips (In progress · Queued · Held · Failed · Completed); Pause all, Resume all, Retry failed and Clear completed.
- Notification with buttons and a notice when the queue empties (Android 13+ asks for the notification permission once, with the first download).
- Pause and resume every download, web and debrid included; resuming checks it is still the same file.
- Failure reasons on failed rows and automatic retries (Off / 1 / 3 / 5).
- Reserve addresses (mirrors) for web sources, tried best first by success rate and speed; a limit of downloads per server.
- Verification against RomM hashes or No-Intro / Redump DATs; nothing is ever deleted because of it.
- Multi-disc games gathered in a
<Game>.m3u/folder with its playlist, for the systems whose emulators read playlists. - Optional seeding after a torrent download.
Sources
- Incremental rescans: only what changed is read again; Full rescan reads everything.
- Sturdier scans (retries, a per-source report, Retry failed), progress with the time left, and an optional automatic scan (daily or weekly, Wi-Fi only / charging only).
- Favourites travel in the sources export, and importing can be undone.
RomM
- Self-signed HTTPS: Dogmatix shows the certificate and you can trust it.
- Resumable uploads, multi-file games uploaded as one ZIP.
- The server catalogue: games already in RomM are marked, Upload what is missing, favourites sync, rating, play status and collections in the details popup, covers to ES-DE.
Frontends
- ES-DE favourites sync both ways, and Check frontends with a one-tap repair.
Collection (new section)
- Summary, Health (twelve checks, each with its fix), Duplicates, Repair, Free up space, a second library on the SD card (a download that does not fit goes there), Move library (interruptible, undoable), a History with undo and a trash, and your own collections by hand or by rules.
Interface
- Settings by category, with a side panel in landscape and tabs in portrait.
- German, French, Portuguese and Italian translations.
Fixed
- The "already in your library" dialog opened on "Delete", so A, A deleted the game from disk.
- One press of ZL / ZR switched several sections on pads that send both a button and an axis (Retroid Pocket 6).
- The download speed limit did not limit; stopping a web download did not cut the transfer.
- Extracting an archive flattened its folders, so discs overwrote each other.
- Exporting and re-importing sources gave older consoles a new id; game details for some consoles (SNES) came back empty; the details popup could show another game of the series.
