Newsletters, email, and a rebuilt Settings.

Newsletters

Mail your members what was added and, if you like, what got watched most: movies, shows with their new seasons, and albums. Per server, on a daily, weekly, monthly or cron schedule, with a window that picks up where the last email stopped. Recipients come from a contact email you set, their Tracearr login, or their Plex account - Jellyfin and Emby give no addresses, so you type them in. Every email has its own unsubscribe link, a view-in-browser link, and lands in a History tab with per-recipient status and retry. Preview, Send test, Send now. Settings → Notifications → Newsletters.

  • A newsletter across several servers sends each member only the servers they have an account on
  • The digest trims itself under Gmail's 102 KB clip; posters go attached, hosted from your external URL, or off
  • Jellyfin and Emby servers get a Public address so item links open for members
  • newsletter.sent and newsletter.failed triggers, and a Newsletter failed template in the gallery

Email

  • Email is a destination now. SMTP only, presets for Postmark, Resend, SES, Mailgun, SendGrid, Brevo and Gmail, a Test that sends a real message
  • Branding for every email - logo, accent, footer, postal address - and the suppression list, under Settings → Notifications → Email
  • A Verify certificate switch on email destinations, for a mail server with a self-signed certificate like Protonmail Bridge. It stays on unless you turn it off
  • A failed Test names the TLS problem instead of a bare socket error, and the failure goes to the server log

Settings

  • Five groups in a left column: General, Servers, Notifications, Access, Data & API. Old paths redirect
  • Destinations, backup history and job history are rows with one actions menu instead of cards and tables

Automations

  • New "a stream is first seen" trigger, fires the moment a stream shows up instead of waiting out the thirty-second confirmation
  • Share codes work on beta builds

Public API

  • GET /api/v2/public/watched-media for matching an external library by tmdb, tvdb or imdb id

Fixes

  • Plex titles keep all their genres. Plex's library listing sends at most two per title, so sync reads the full metadata for the rest. Existing items fill in on the next full sync, which runs every 3.5 days or when you sync by hand
  • Tabs and toggle groups share one selected style, and Quality's movies/shows switch matches Browse
  • Jellyfin 12.0 version parses
  • The version line no longer offers an older release as an update
  • Series browse quality filters read the episodes, not the empty show record
  • Emby admin check says whether the server is down, the key is bad, or the account isn't admin
  • Tautulli import skips a page that won't fetch instead of failing the run
  • Library sync survives a bad library name
  • Web assets serve on Windows
  • Jellyfin and Emby track posters point at the album, so one cover caches once
  • Border colours render again; toggles sit on whole pixels
  • Fresh translations from Crowdin

Notes

  • Migrations 0097 to 0102 add the newsletter tables, nothing destructive
  • /api/v1/email/unsubscribe/*, /api/v1/newsletters/view/* and /api/v1/images/proxy answer without a login; an auth proxy has to let them through
  • The digest has been proofed in Mailpit and a browser, not Gmail or Outlook yet. Say what you see
  • Docs: docs.tracearr.com/configuration/email
