Important
We strongly recommend that all node operators upgrade. Version v2.4.1 includes the fixes from op-reth v2.6.1 for compromised eMudhra certificates (CVE-2026-111943). The node rejects the compromised intermediate certificates, and the Docker image removes the affected root certificates from its list of trusted certificates.
Summary
Version v2.4.1 is a patch release for v2.4.0. It updates op-reth from v2.6.0 to v2.6.1 and leaves the Reth dependency unchanged. There are no changes to execution, consensus, RPC or database code.
The release updates certificate checks and trusted certificates.
Upgrade notes
Use the v2.4.1 Docker image to get both the node and operating system certificate updates. If you build your own image or run the binary directly, also update your operating system's CA certificates.
Upgrading from v2.4.0 requires no new flags, chain configuration changes or database migration.
