Compass Update — Lyric Translation, Game Logos & Windows Media Controls

Lyric translation

Press Translate lyrics in the lyrics tab or Karaoke and pick a language. The original line stays on screen with the translation under it, and the timing is unchanged.

• Off until you turn it on.
• Uses your AI key from Settings if you have one, otherwise a free online translator.

Games

• Game logos that failed to load once now retry instead of staying missing until you restart Compass.
• The game page uses the current Steam library logo first, the same one the browse pages show.
• The seasonal showcase uses the corrected publisher logos, and a logo no longer carries over from the previous game.
• Small emblem logos no longer hide the game name.

Windows media controls

Compass now shares the artist, album, cover and playback time of the current song with Windows media controls, so tools such as WebNowPlaying and Rainmeter skins can show them. WebNowPlaying has no lyrics support, so lyrics are not shared.

Also in this release

• Rate a title 8 or higher and Discover suggests more like it; 4 or lower and it suggests less.
• New installs keep the same source when the next episode starts.
• Adult addons can no longer be shown.

If the update does not install

Download compass-setup-v0.9.140-beta.exe below and install it over your current version. Your settings, library and accounts are kept. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
