Conduit 4.0 is here
Hi! This is the biggest update since Conduit began, and I'm really excited to share it. Your chats now live on your phone first, and you can use Conduit entirely without a server.
Local persistence
Chats, notes, and drafts are kept safely on your device. Notes and drafts remain available without a connection; continuing a chat still requires one.
Hermes Agent
Connect your own Hermes server and chat with an agent that gets things done. Watch its tools work live, approve sensitive steps before they run, and let scheduled agents work while you sleep. Conversations and schedules get their own tab, and Conduit only shows the capabilities your server actually reports.
Direct connections
Talk to OpenAI-compatible providers or Ollama models running on your own machine, straight from the app. Just add an API key, or skip the key entirely. OpenRouter is supported first-party, and connections you already configured in Open WebUI come along automatically. Keys and headers stay in secure storage on your device.
Pick your starting point
On first launch Conduit asks how you want to connect: Open WebUI, a direct provider, or Hermes. You can add the others later. Nothing forces you through a server sign-in you don't need.
A real Workspace
Models, knowledge, prompts, tools, and skills are now native screens, with settings navigation unified around them. Sections you don't have permission for simply don't appear.

Conduit tracks the latest server release, and Mermaid diagrams now render natively instead of through a web view.
Leaving on your terms
Signing out lets you choose what stays behind. Clearing everything really clears everything, on-device chats included, and it fails safely rather than leaving data half-deleted.
And lots of care in the details
Streaming and scrolling were rebuilt from the ground up: the transcript holds its place while a response grows, pinned prompts stay put, scroll-to-top works, and long conversations load without stalling the UI. Plus nicer sheets and navigation, and dozens of fixes for attachments, speech, themes, note recordings, and chat titles.
