What's new

Nuvio extension support 🎬 — Hikari can now install and run Nuvio provider extensions (like Stremio addons): add repos such as Vixsource, MovieBox or ShowBox, install the providers you want (Cineby, 4KHD, Streamflix, Eclipsia and many more), and browse their catalogs right on the home screen — anime, Hindi, K-Drama, French, Persian and general niches each get their own row so no two extensions look the same.

  • Every provider's servers, Stremio-style — when you play a movie or episode, Hikari searches ALL installed providers and collects every server it finds (Cineby + 4KHD + Streamflix + whatever else you've installed) into one list, so you can pick whichever one works best.
  • Instant playback ⚡ — no more waiting for the whole search. The player starts as soon as the FIRST server is found and keeps adding new servers to its "Select server" list in the background while you watch. Switch sources anytime from inside the player.
  • Embedded QuickJS runtime — nuvio providers run in a fast built-in JavaScript engine (no WebView, no Cloudflare popups), with automatic Cloudflare challenge solving when a provider still needs it, plus a hardened ESM→CommonJS loader so modern providers (AllWish etc.) install and run correctly.
  • Eclipsia install fixed — providers whose manifests list a full URL as the script filename (Codeberg-hosted extensions) no longer fail with "Not a valid nuvio provider" — they install and search properly now.
  • Codeberg fetch fixed — extension repos and plugins now use the right browser headers, a WebView fallback and an API mirror, so previously 403-blocked repos (Codeberg, Eclipsia) load reliably.
  • Compact bottom navigation — the nav bar is slimmer and every tab label (Extensions, Home, etc.) fits on one line with no more "Extensi…" cut-off text.
  • Better audio & playback — FFmpeg decoding for EAC3/DDP audio tracks (media3 1.7.1 + nextlib), yt-dlp fallback when every provider comes up empty, and filtered-out junk streams so you only see real servers.
  • Per-extension diagnostics — the sources sheet shows exactly what each extension reported (✓ 3 sources, ✗ timeout, ✗ cut off…), so an empty result tells you why instead of leaving you guessing.

Plus the usual round of stability fixes: fair per-provider search budgets, a 55s search ceiling, WebView pool tuning, and version-bumped dependencies.
