Changes from v2.11.0 to v2.12.0

IMPORTANT: As a result of the changes introduced with story #158991271 to ensure component connectivity to their local loggregator agents, the Diego team has received reports that the rep and the route-emitter jobs do not start up reliably on Windows cells on some infrastructures. We recommend upgrading to Diego v2.12.1 if you encounter these problems.

NOTE: Diego v2.12.0 fixes a goroutine leak in the cell rep's timeout step that was accidentally introduced in Diego v2.10.0. We recommend that operators upgrade to Diego v2.12.0 at their earliest convenience.

BBS API

• As a BBS API client, I expect to be able to see the certainty/reliability state of each ActualLRP inline on the ActualLRP message so that I do not have to infer it from its place in the ActualLRPGroup structure

Container Execution

• As a CF operator, I expect the cell reps not to accumulate goroutines from timeout steps

• cloudfoundry/rep #21: rep fd keep increasing

Executor Cache

• As a CF operator, I expect the fileserver assets to have updated caching info after they change during a deploy so that the Diego cell rep invalidates them correctly after BOSH deploys a new asset

v2 Loggregator API Adoption

• As a CF operator, I expect that a Diego cell all Diego components configured to use the v2 Loggregator API fails to deploy on startup if it cannot emit logs and metrics to its local metron so that I do not lose app and component logs and metrics in my environment

BPM Integration (Experimental)

• As a CF operator, I expect the rep's asset handling to work consistently with the latest BPM release so that I can ensure the platform runs app and task workloads correctly

Windows Support

Component Logging and Metrics
