Online co-op for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (Steam, 2 to 4 players). Alpha.
What's new
- Human enemies (bandits, thieves, cultists) are now shared like monsters. The host's game runs them, so everyone sees the same ones in the same places, with the same HP and deaths. Before, each player fought their own.
- NPCs (townsfolk, merchants...) now stand and walk in the same places for every player. During a talk, a shop or a cutscene, each player's game keeps its own NPCs.
- Packs of small monsters (wolves, goblins, harpies) that appear in different places in each world are now matched from further away.
- Fixed: a guest's enemy could jump far away when the host's game replaced an enemy with a new one.
- The pause menu no longer pauses the world in co-op. The other players keep seeing you, and your character stands still while the menu is open.
- Reviving a friend works when you tap B, or when a hit interrupts you.
- Grabs between players: the hold starts at once (even in mid-air), the held player can't jump out over and over, and there's no fall damage when you're let go in the air.
Settings (coop.ini): no_npc_sync=1 shares monsters only, as before. menu_runs_world=0 brings back the old pause.
Not tested yet: bandits and other human enemies in a real session. An enemy or NPC that only one player's game spawned is still not seen by the others. Please report what you see, with your log (launcher: Log > Export the log).
