A lot has improved under the hood, paving the way for three major quality-of-life features: light mode (finally!), a new "Watch history" page, and synced video playback progress across devices.
Watch history pairs nicely with last release’s feature that automatically removes watched videos from "Watch later", making it easier to revisit videos and articles.
And if you use Youlag on multiple devices, synced video progress makes it easy to pick up right where you left off!
Improvements
- Light mode (#21):
- Youlag now supports light mode. Previously, only dark mode was available.
Youlag settings → Youlag → Theme- For beta testers who ran light mode in
4.5.0, you can remove the custom "User CSS" now::root { --yl-theme-light: true }.
- Watch history:
- Revisit previously watched videos and read articles. History syncs across devices and is enabled by default.
- You can clear it in Youlag settings or on the Watch history page.
Youlag settings → Watch history → Save watch history
- Synced watch progress:
- Watch progress and other video data now sync across devices.
- Watch progress appears as a red bar at the bottom of each thumbnail.
- Saved data includes DeArrow titles and thumbnails, video lengths, SponsorBlock segments, and skipped chapters.
- You can clear saved data in Youlag settings.
Youlag settings → Saved video data(always enabled)
