We are pleased to release Cilium v1.7.9. This release improves seamless upgrade from prior v1.7.x and v1.6.y releases. For users upgrading from v1.7.7 or earlier, no special action is required during upgrade. Users upgrading from v1.7.8 or v1.6.y should consult the newly updated v1.7 upgrade notes, in particular the new ConfigMap options section.
