Improved Time Synchronization
This release improves how SpinDroid synchronizes with your SendSpin server, resulting in more stable and accurate audio sync.
What changed:
- SpinDroid now sends multiple timing measurements and picks the best one, similar to how NTP (Network Time Protocol) works
- This filters out network "hiccups" that could cause sync drift
- The result is smoother playback with less need for corrections
Technical Details
- Time sync now uses best-of-10 sampling (picks measurement with lowest network latency)
- Reduces noise in clock drift estimation
- Added developer documentation explaining the sync algorithm
