NV-UV Play v2.1.4

Advanced GPU tuning

  • Optional Vix integration: power and offset limits, BIOS fan curves and Zero RPM settings supported by the card's BIOS. Currently Blackwell only, with driver 616.56+ in the 616.x / 617.x series.
  • Unlock the new features under Settings > Experimental features > Advanced GPU Tuning. Then open Advanced GPU Tuning from the Curve editor.
  • Guided setup covers tool updates, BIOS backup, preparing settings, applying the override and restart verification. Saved BIOS backups are reused. Restore and tool cleanup are included.
  • Original Vix tools are downloaded separately and used through their command-line interface. Overrides require a Windows restart. The physical BIOS is not flashed; saving a custom UV curve as the BIOS stock curve is not supported.
  • Curve verification now recognizes supported driver readback differences, including increased offset ceilings, while still reporting mismatched or unapplied curves.
  • A big thank you to Panchovix and the Vix contributors for making these GPU settings accessible. Take a look at the original projects for their full range of features:
  • Vix Editor: https://github.com/Panchovix/nvidia-vbios-vix-editor
  • Vix Windows Loader: https://github.com/Panchovix/nvidia-windows-vbios-vix-loader

Vix recovery: If Vix settings cannot be reset normally, or the NVIDIA driver no longer starts after applying an override, start Windows in Safe Mode, remove the affected GPU's Play override using the saved recovery instructions, then restart Windows normally. Step-by-step recovery guide.

Overlay

  • Adjustable frametime graph height, separate GPU / CPU / General label colors and optional colored grid lines.
  • Move API, resolution, HDR and G-SYNC badges within the status row or into reading cells. Clearer layout and color controls.
  • Improved game-window association when direct process lookup is unavailable, including the Helldivers 2 case. Game display observations remain in diagnostic reports.
  • Borderless recommended. Exclusive fullscreen unsupported. HDR and G-SYNC readings describe display status; game-specific verification is still needed.

Interface and Stabilizer

  • Advanced GPU Tuning has separate VBIOS and profile settings, collapsible categories that remember their state, clearer setup feedback and corrected restart status. About and help text are easier to read.
  • MFG uses a 100% power limit again. Eco remains available for a lower power limit.
  • Saved NVIDIA Max Frame Rate settings are preserved when reopening DCC settings, including while DCC is off.
  • Corrected Stabilizer handling of Blackwell auxiliary curve points. Optional VRAM correction can reduce positive memory offsets towards Stock.
  • Corrected false game detection from ambiguous executable names, including ICARUS. Game profile assignments and Stabilizer history now follow supported game executable handoffs.
  • Expanded profile-write diagnostics and clearer credits for the projects used by Play.

More about this update

Game database

  • Database 2.41: 737 games, including Assetto Corsa and Transport Fever 3.

Windows Defender

  • Microsoft Defender can currently quarantine Play files. If Play no longer starts, check Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Protection history for affected files and the detection name.

Feedback

  • Please send diagnostic reports for remaining overlay, profile or tuning issues, including the game and display mode where relevant.

VirusTotal: Signed EXE report. 0/69 detections; six additional engines could not process this file type.
