  • NVIDIA GPU selection: choose the card Play controls in Settings. The startup picker requests a choice when needed; Play remembers the card and applies selection changes after restarting. Profiles, readings and DCC Automatic follow that card. The scanner and NVIDIA Experimental still require one NVIDIA GPU. Multi-GPU hardware validation is pending.
  • Scanner verification: actual core offsets and selected voltage are checked after settling, during load, at completion and across the core-to-memory transition. Changed or missing readback stops verification. The complete memory test and previous-profile restoration remain in place; diagnostic logs now mark the start and end of core and memory applies.
  • Experimental voltage settings: available through Settings → Experimental features, then UV Curve → Expert voltage settings. Optional XBAR/SYS clock and voltage-demand offsets apply globally to the active GPU only after explicit acknowledgment and Apply globally. Voltage demand is not a fixed rail voltage; support depends on the GPU and driver.

Use the integrated updater, or extract the complete portable ZIP into its own folder.
Please report whether updating in place, restarting and preserving profiles/settings worked.

Please do not use MSI Afterburner together with Play, as competing tools may conflict with GPU voltage settings.

VirusTotal — reports for the exact files in this release: Main EXE · Overlay attach helper x64 · Overlay attach helper x86. The two attach helpers are unchanged from v2.0.1. Check the linked reports for their current results.

The two PlayOverlay.Attach.exe helpers for the optional experimental fullscreen overlay load Play's renderer into the game process using DLL injection. This mechanism can trigger antivirus detections; suspected false positives have not been confirmed by antivirus vendors. Scanners can flag the bundled files even when the feature is disabled. Reports for these three EXEs do not cover the four renderer DLLs.

You can leave flagged attach helpers in antivirus quarantine. Without them, the experimental DX11/DX12 exclusive-fullscreen overlay is unavailable for games of the affected architecture. Play's main functions and desktop/windowed/borderless overlay do not require these helpers. Vulkan uses a separate renderer DLL; quarantining it disables the corresponding Vulkan overlay.

For reproducible issues, use Settings → Report a problem
DCC reports are most useful with performance logging enabled before launching the game.
