If you completed this particular update on 12/8/2020 before 11:00am EST you may no longer be able to connect to internet or network services. The portion of the update that caused this issue has been disabled since this time. Those completing this update after 11:00am EST on 12/8/2020 should not experience this issue.
If you can no longer connect to internet or network services from ArkOS, please do the following:

Take the attached compressed file (arkosbackup.tar.gz) and put it in your roms/backup folder. Do not uncompress the contents! Just place the file as is in your roms/backup folder. If you don't have a backup folder in the roms folder, just create it.

Then go into the Emulationstation Menu, scroll to Options, hit A, then go to Advanced, hit A, then scroll all the way down to Restore Settings, hit A.

Once the restore has been completed. Reboot the device.

It will come back on and go into Emulationstation, and reboot again in a few seconds.

Once it's done, internet services should be restored again.
