HD textures now includes the complete Sunshine HD cutscene pack: all 21 movies enhanced at 3× resolution, with original timing, framing and audio preserved.
Update the launcher and game, enable HD textures in Settings, and choose Finish HD setup or Play. If automatic updates are off, first choose Settings → Manage game → Update game. Existing HD texture users only download the missing movie patches. Your original disc and saves stay intact, and the pack carries over across game updates. Turning HD textures off restores the original movie playback.
The movie patches add about 5.7 GB of downloads and 5.8 GB installed. Allow 7.8 GB free for movie setup, plus space for textures if needed. Installation uses your own North American Sunshine disc image (GMSE01). Eclipse keeps its own movies.
Setup shows download and installation progress, verifies all movies before activating the pack, and preserves the previous pack after failure or cancellation.
These are AI-enhanced upscales of the original movies, not new animation renders. Installation and offline setup guide.
Older installations remain playable with their existing textures until you update the game.
