Tested game updates, one button
- Launcher, game source, and per-OS build tools now have separate versions. Each launcher release selects an exact tested port and decomp revision.
- Home shows Update & play when preparation is needed. Launcher-only updates reuse the installed game and unchanged tools.
- Updates prepare a separate installation and select it only after a successful build. Saves stay in their existing location with verified backups. Settings → Manage game offers the installed/previous version as a fallback.
- Changed tool archives install in separate folders. Older game builds retain their matching tools, and existing matching tools are reused without another download.
- Interrupted rebuilds recover their previous build on startup. A single launcher instance prevents overlapping updates and save operations.
- Release publication now requires game compilation with the pinned private tools on Linux x64, Windows x64, Intel Mac, and Apple Silicon Mac. All four checks passed for this release. Windows currently builds the supported 32-bit game on a 64-bit host.
Bring your own ROM is required. No game executable, ROM, patched disc, or game assets are included. Mac still requires Apple's Command Line Tools and Rosetta on Apple Silicon; Homebrew is not required. Eclipse remains experimental on Mac and Windows.
Maintainers: after updating the port's decomp revision, npm run update:game selects the complete port/decomp source revision and bumps the launcher. Commit and push to run the gated release workflow.
