Patch for v7.2.0. Fixes the integrity-bypass crash. Pre-release for testing.
What broke in v7.2.0
The Experimental Integrity Bypass in v7.2.0 ret-patched the first signature match it found. On some builds (different from the one it was reversed from) that first match is a different function, so enabling the bypass instantly crashed the game. Thanks to the testers who reported it (#167, #168, #169).
What v7.2.1 fixes
The bypass now validates its target before patching:
- It reads the live module's import table to find the real
TerminateProcessslot. - It patches only the signature match whose
callactually targetsTerminateProcess. - If no match validates, it refuses to patch and logs it, instead of crashing.
So the bypass can no longer ret-patch the wrong function on any build. Worst case it does nothing.
Still open (under investigation)
- The Memory Scanner finds a display/cache copy of Credits, not the canonical value, so changes revert when you buy something. That is the main reason "Set" does not stick. A full decompilation is in progress to locate the canonical value the purchase logic actually uses.
- The integrity bypass remains experimental — patching the right kill wrapper may or may not be enough; there could be a second protection. Test carefully.
How to test
If you tried v7.2.0, please re-test the Experimental Integrity Bypass in v7.2.1 — turning it on should no longer crash. Report with the test-report issue template and attach your trainer.log (delete it, reproduce, then upload).
Offline mode only. SQL cheats are unaffected and still work.
