cmctl is the command line tool for interacting with cert-manager.
This release is built with Go 1.27.3. That Go release changes crypto/x509 so that it no longer trusts the compromised eMudhra intermediate CAs (GO-2026-6809). cmctl uses crypto/x509 when it talks to the Kubernetes API server and to OCSP and CRL endpoints, so we recommend upgrading.
There are no other user-facing changes. The release also moves from cert-manager v1.21.2 to v1.21.3, takes Kubernetes v0.37.1 and Helm v4.3.1, and includes security updates to golang.org/x/net and the OpenTelemetry OTLP exporter.
