OnionHop v3.4.3

A patch release fixing Tor bridges on macOS and lowering the macOS version requirement.

Fixed

  • Tor bridges work again on macOS. On macOS the Tor data folder lives under "~/Library/Application Support/", and the space in that path could stop Tor from launching the bridge helper (the managed proxy died immediately, so obfs4/snowflake/webtunnel bridges never connected). OnionHop already tried to work around this with a space-free symlink, but that step could silently fail; it now falls back to copying the transport into a guaranteed space-free folder, so bridges connect reliably.

Changed

  • Lower macOS requirement: now runs on macOS 13 (Ventura). The minimum was macOS 14 (Sonoma), which blocked otherwise-capable Macs. The floor is now Ventura, so more "legacy" machines can run OnionHop.

Windows and Linux

  • No functional changes since 3.4.2. Rebuilt at 3.4.3 to keep version numbers aligned across platforms.

Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu > About This Mac. "Apple M1/M2/M3/M4" means Apple Silicon (arm64); anything listing an Intel processor needs the x64 build.

macOS CLI is still coming soon.
