This is a security release which fixes a couple of bugs in the transaction pool logic. These bugs could lead to transactions getting stuck in the transaction pool when they should be removed or should not have been admitted in the first place (due to being unmineable), and could have been exploited in a denial of service attack crowding out legitimate transactions. Nodes running a patched version (1.2.3 or 1.1.3) would not be affected and would have been able to include legitimate transactions in blocks as usual. Such an attack would not have created any risk of loss of funds or of consensus failure.
If you are upgrading from versions older than v1.2.x, please also see the v1.2.2-stable release notes.
