github celestiaorg/celestia-core v0.42.4

Fixes rollback and lets it target a height. Previously rollback could exit without changing anything and still print "Rolled back" when the latest block was saved but not executed; it now returns an error that says which --height to pass. rollback --height X rolls state back to X with checks before any write, refuses rollbacks deeper than 100 heights unless --force is set, and opens the blockstore at blockstore_dir. --hard is limited to one height. Supported only when re-executing blocks reproduces the already committed headers.

What's Changed

  • feat(state): roll back to a target height [medium] (backport #3479) by @mergify[bot] in #3481
  • feat(cmd): rollback --height with depth guard [medium] (backport #3480) by @mergify[bot] in #3482
