ServiceRadar v1.4.91
This release reduces the CNPG footprint of raw metrics and fixes ingestion
reliability across alert evaluation, device snapshot replay, and flow streams.
Upgrade Notes
- Raw
timeseries_metricsnow uses 4-hour chunks, a 2-hour compression
lag, and an hourly compression job. Configure these through Helm
core.observabilityRetention.timeseriesMetricsChunkIntervalHoursand
core.observabilityRetention.timeseriesMetricsCompressAfterHours.
Chunk interval changes apply to newly created chunks; the retention
worker reconciles the policy and schedule on existing installations.
Sysmon raw tables keep their separate chunk settings (PR #5555). - Helm now exposes
core.alertEvaluation.mode, defaulting toprepared.
In that mode, events and logs are stored and acknowledged without
evaluating alert rules or promoting logs. Set it toactiveafter
retiring every core pod older than v1.4.85, including disconnected
pods; installations that never ran an older release can start active
(PR #5598). - Ingestion lane metrics now publish every 30 seconds instead of every
second. Override withSERVICERADAR_INGESTION_METRICS_INTERVAL_MS
(minimum 1,000 ms). Retry identity and acknowledged counter deltas
are preserved (PR #5599). - Flow listeners now cap exporter-declared sampling rates at 1,000,000
by default. Configuremax_sampling_rateper listener and monitor
flow_collector_sampling_rate_clamped_totalfor bounded values across
NetFlow v5/v9, IPFIX, and sFlow (PR #5582).
Fixes
- The deployed core release now honors the
SYNC_INGESTOR_*environment
settings rendered from Helmcore.syncIngestor, including the
per-chunk worker timeout, queue limits, and concurrency controls
introduced in earlier releases (PR #5581). - An unchanged complete source snapshot now replays device updates when
it contains a revivable soft-deleted member. Live, merged, and retained
members keep the replay idempotent, preventing repeated work for
tombstones that must stay deleted (PR #5601). - Alert evaluation in
preparedmode no longer fails EventWriter
batches or causes repeated JetStream deliveries. Draining and
capability failures still reject admission (PR #5598). - The canonical flow stream can reclaim subjects from an empty legacy
flow stream that blocks its creation. Streams with messages, unrelated
subjects, or a different owner are preserved (PR #5602). - Implausible flow sampling rates no longer inflate byte and packet
volume without a bound; clamps are counted for every supported
protocol (PR #5582).
Dependencies
- Updated the deployed core release's Decimal lock to 3.2.0 and aligned
the Bazel Hex package closure (PR #5600).
