ServiceRadar v1.4.82

This release adds hosted edge connectivity: an opt-in NATS leafnode
listener, JS CLI onboarding commands, and the core and web APIs that
issue leaf certificates and collector bundles. The chart now mints
Dgraph TLS secrets itself. Flow attribution moves onto StarRocks, and
IPFIX collection requires mutual TLS.

Upgrade Notes

  • Helm core.migrations.expectedVersion is 20261006160000.
Migrations since 1.4.81 add the edge.manage CLI scope, configurable
homepages, interface threshold cooldown state, agent identity
supersession, warehouse retention settings, telemetry hypertable
compression, and indexes for device and agent foreign keys.
  • NATS leafnode connectivity is off unless nats.leafnodes.enabled is
true. The listener is port 7422. TLS terminates in nats-server, and a
leaf certificate must carry the role URI SAN the agent-gateway CA
    issues for that edge site.
  • Clusters that applied chart 1.4.81 with Dgraph enabled rendered
cert-manager Certificate and Issuer resources. This chart writes the
Dgraph CA and serving Secrets directly and no longer renders those
resources. Orphan the old Certificate and Issuer objects before
upgrading that release so Helm does not delete them out from under
    the Secrets.
  • The flow collector authenticates IPFIX over mutual TLS and rejects
    UDP templates by default.
  • Core OTX feed credentials resolve from the inventory credential store.
  • Flow-attribution observations and correlation read StarRocks.

Whats New

1.4.82

  • Hosted edge: opt-in NATS leafnode listener and Gateway TCP route for
port 7422 (PR #5137). JS CLI commands for edge sites, packages,
collectors, and leaf install (PR #5102). Core and web-ng issue leaf
certificates and real NATS credentials, enforce the edge.manage
scope, and serve edge-site and collector download APIs (PR #5245).
  • Dgraph: the chart mints the CA and Alpha/Zero TLS Secrets and reuses
them on upgrade. Public HTTPS stays centrally issued (PR #5240).
  • Flow attribution: observations and correlation run on StarRocks, and
correlator pass health is published through JetStream (PR #5164).
SRQL keeps hourly package and CPE rollup buckets that overlap the
query window (PR #5170, PR #5181).
  • IPFIX: authenticate over mutual TLS and reject UDP templates by
    default (PR #5138).
  • Credentials: restore core OTX sync against the unified inventory
(PR #5167). Resolve Proxmox grants at use (PR #5159).
  • Identity: supersede a stale agent identity when a host re-enrolls
under a new uid (PR #5148). Configurable default homepages for users,
groups, and the deployment (PR #5189).
  • Inventory: device purge no longer stalls on an unlisted foreign-key
child (PR #5243). Source-retirement queries stay linear when planner
estimates are wrong (PR #5218). A retired source record can merge into
    its corroborated successor (PR #5225).
  • Telemetry: enable TimescaleDB compression on telemetry hypertables
(PR #5230). EventWriter recovers ingestion after NATS failures
(PR #5234). Interface threshold alerts fire and persist cooldown
    state (PR #5229).
  • Gateway: mark agents disconnected when their control sessions end
(PR #5231). Heartbeat and release reconcile no longer block
PushStatus (PR #5216). Core process locations are cached instead of
swept on every push (PR #5224).
  • Dgraph NIF calls run asynchronously so a stalled cluster does not pin
    a scheduler (PR #5236).
  • Add-ons: a newer approved candidate supersedes a paused rollout
(PR #5235). Timer add-on health is re-evaluated on version activation
(PR #5232). Deleting an assignment or profile keeps rollout history
(PR #5186). A second enabled profile with the same target query is
rejected (PR #5188). Package uploads are limited to staged packages
    (PR #5169).
  • Analytics: StarRocks retention is stored in the database and edited
from Data retention settings (PR #5156).
  • Collectors: bound log, BMP, and flow-collector state, and use safe
formatting for SNMP varbinds (PR #5112, PR #5117, PR #5119, PR #5123).
  • Web: omit the ephemeral source port from a related NetFlow link
(PR #3551). Restore monospace terminal geometry and add a
high-contrast light theme (PR #5228). Skip a sort on the sysmon
presence probe (PR #5226). Device Anomaly and Capacity views show a
loading skeleton (PR #4475). Add-on catalog details group assignments
    by agent (PR #4461).
