Binstall is a tool to fetch and install Rust-based executables as binaries. It aims to be a drop-in replacement for cargo install in most cases. Install it today with cargo install cargo-binstall, from the binaries below, or if you already have it, upgrade with cargo binstall cargo-binstall.
In this release:
- reject bin names that escape the install dir, thank you @NotAFlightRisk for spotting and reporting this (GHSA-jxjx-4v2j-96qg #2712)
- add
--completionsflag to print shell completions (#2701) - add --dns to select the DNS resolver at runtime (#1699 #2709)
