Fixes

  • Fix anonymous executable-memory allocation on BSD by passing -1 as the file descriptor to mmap with MAP_ANON. This fixes the invalid argument failure reported in #962. (#902)

This patch changes no public API. Relative to loader/v0.5.2, the loader module contains only the mmap descriptor fix and formatting changes.

Validation

  • Loader race tests passed on Linux/amd64 with Go 1.24.13 and Go 1.27.0, with GOWORK=off.
  • Loader test binaries cross-compiled successfully for FreeBSD/amd64 and macOS/amd64 with Go 1.27.0. BSD runtime tests were not executed locally.
