Warning

Unofficial domain notice: I do not own or operate winslop.com and I'm not affiliated with whoever registered it.
Even if it currently redirects to this GitHub repo, a third-party domain can be changed at any time (phishing, fake releases, malware links).
My only official pages are on GitHub: github.com/builtbybel/ (repo + releases).
Download Winslop only from GitHub Releases.

Lets show Microsoft their AI overhead is too much.
Goal: in 30 days, more Winslop downloads than Copilot has users 😆
Because honestly, nobody cares about Copilot. And I genuinely dont get why you'd ruin a nice OS like this, instead of listening to users and the people who made Microsoft successful in the first place, devs.

Changelog

  • Improved import and export of feature settings. Automatic detection now also supports multiple files located in the same directory as Winslop.exe. If multiple .SELECTION files are found, a selection dialog will appear to choose which one to load - perfect for different systems with different desktops 😉
  • Added a new Refresh button to the main UI. Depending on the current page, it reloads all data and clears the log output.
  • Integrated update search (online via GitHub)
  • Extended footer with an “About this app” button and detailed version information
  • Moved the plugin system from the old CrapFixer repo into Winslop (finally where it belongs 😉) https://github.com/builtbybel/Winslop/blob/main/plugins/plugins_manifest.txt
  • Add documentation for Winslop plugin system
  • Fixed an issue where root nodes were incorrectly included in tree node counts
  • Minor but nice Windows 95–inspired color polish
  • Added an optional “buy me a coffee” donation feature (you can turn it off anytime in the About window). Winslop will always stay transparent and completely free
  • Winslop may be small, but its highly powerful and expandable through plugins and extensions. It includes its own log inspector, but the UI is not multilingual yet. I get a lot of emails about this… I know, I know , Im just kinda lazy when it comes to translations and still thinking about it 😅

Tip

You can use Actions → Log: Checked Features to display all enabled features in the log and simply copy that section into a translator. Even easier: use the online log inspector — it even has a built-in Google Translate button.
