Yesterday marked the 4th anniversary of my first Windows 11 customization tool, "ThisIsWin11". Looking back, I’ll admit the UI was pretty rough. But at the time, it was an incredibly simple tool, and it did what it needed to do. The goal was to help users easily customize Windows 11 and make it their own.
Now, ThisIsNot11 takes it further. Read more
The source code will be released soon after some refactoring.

We're moving forward with ThisIsNot11! I've built a new Companion core, so now we can display widgets directly at the app's start, similar to the Windows 11 Start Menu. For example, you’ll now see an App Manager (JunkfreeJoe) right when the app launches.

I’m envisioning adding more Companions, like an Apps Installation/Winget widget, a Scripting Companion, and more. Basically, we can now turn all the old tools from ThisIsWin11 into Companions. The focus is on keeping the app simple and clean.

Companion Customization:
Companions can now be overwritten. For instance, the App Manager (JunkfreeJoe) can be replaced easily. All you need to do is place an "OverrideCompanion1.txt" file in the app directory (Attached in release). This allows you to provide things like extended app signatures. The Companion will then look for useless apps listed in that file, not just those it finds via its default algorithm.

  • More consistent UI
  • Update functionality added
