Native File Dialog Extended v1.4.0

latest release: v1.4.1
one month ago

This release brings two main new features: window parenting for Wayland (Linux), and customisation of the dialog title and button labels. Window parenting is the ability to specify a parent window for a dialog, which causes the dialog window to be kept on top of the parent window; this is already implemented for other backends, but Wayland was then left out due to implementation complexity. If you already pass a parent window handle, upgrading to this release will set the parent window on Wayland without any code changes. Dialog title and button label customisation is useful for internationalisation, among other use cases; the custom text is displayed on all platforms where the underlying backend supports them. Finally, a SDL3 glue header is now available (similar to what we already have for SDL2 and GLFW3), which should make integration a little easier.
