Highlights Since v1.25.5
Audio
- Add
${pa_source_volume}for the default PulseAudio recording source (#2519). It reports the configured source volume averaged across channels, preserves values above 100% when amplification is enabled, ignores mute state, and refreshes when the server's default source changes. Source-only servers without a playback sink are also supported.
Execution
- Long
${exec}commands are no longer silently truncated: the shared 256-byte command buffer has been replaced with owned, dynamically sized storage, and the out-of-bounds terminator write at exactly 256 bytes is fixed (#2520).text_buffer_sizestill controls configuration parsing. - Threaded (
${texeci},${texecpi}) and blocking (${exec},${execi}, and related) callbacks for the same command are now tracked separately, so their wait policies can no longer be merged (#2517). Same-mode deduplication and interval merging are preserved.
X11
- Parse the final desktop name even when the X11 desktop-name list lacks a trailing NUL, as some window managers such as bspwm provide, so
${desktop_name}is reported correctly (#2518).
Packaging
- AppImage Lua bindings now resolve at runtime: when
APPDIRis set,$APPDIR/usr/lib/conky/lib?.sois prepended to Lua'spackage.cpathwhile existing fallbacks remain (#2513). AppImage packaging also includes a PNG icon for.DirIcon.
