Highlights Since v1.25.1
X11 Reload (no flash)
SIGUSR1reload now reuses the existing X window and display connection instead of destroying and recreating them, eliminating reload flashing (#2465).- Reload no longer adopts the desktop/root window when toggling
own_windowfrom false to true; it falls through to create instead (#2466). - Fixed a segfault on reload (
XftDrawSetClipon nullxftdraw): the output under init is now visible to global helpers duringinitialize()so fonts load correctly (#2467, #2468). - Reload transitions that change window or output modes now retire owned X11 resources, with safe fallback after
XOpenDisplayfailure; docs search scrolls to its target even when the hash is unchanged (#2469).
Lua RSVG Bindings
- Fixed
RsvgDimensionData:set()bound asget,GErrorfreed withg_object_unref()instead ofg_error_free(), and theRsvgHandleGType re-registration crash on reload (via-z,nodelete); added thersvg_render_document_at()x/y/w/h positioning helper; removed dead pre-2.52 helper code (#2438, thanks @molnari811023).
AppImage / CI
- The Ubuntu 22.04 release AppImage is now the canonical download under the bare
conky-<arch>-v<ver>.AppImagename (oldest glibc runs everywhere; catalog selection is deterministic), newer per-OS builds stay attached, and Ubuntu 26.04 joins CI (#2463).
