- The harness-version gate no longer misfires on packaged desktop hosts — closing #59. The gate read the harness version from the
$DSH_HOME/profiles/node_modulesmirror first, but that mirror is only as fresh as the last CLI profile boot: it is rewritten by whichever installation last healed it, and a packaged desktop host never heals it. A leftover global CLI (e.g. an older@deepseek-ai/dshstill installed) could therefore pin the mirror below the baseline and gate a perfectly healthy desktop harness — an upgrade modal on the first Context-tab open of every launch, and, more importantly, fallback projection units registered in place of the real folds.- The version is now resolved from the module tree the plugin is actually bound to first — the plugin's own ESM resolution of the packages it imports at runtime. That is the same pipeline its runtime imports go through, so a shell that redirects plugin imports (a packaged desktop's ASAR resolver bridge) redirects the probe identically.
- A resolution hit that lands inside the plugin's own tree is its dependency closure (
link:-installed dev checkout), never the harness, so it is discarded — the mirror still answers for development setups. - Fail-open behavior is unchanged: an unresolvable, non-file, or unreadable answer never trips the gate, so a probe misfire can never blank a working deployment.
docs/compatibility.mdis the single source of truth for compatibility — the supported releases, the per-generation session-log vocabulary, the client seams each line serves, and the baseline gate (previously undocumented) now all live there, withAGENTS.mdkept to the requirements.
