What's New

Token accounting now tracks the official DeepSeek math end to end — the composition card reads the very meter projections behind the composer's context ring, and image attachments carry their real vision cost instead of a JSON-length guess.

  • Composition identical to the chat context ring — the Current composition card reads the official token-meter contextPressure / contextBreakdown projections (the same keys the composer's ring and its click-open panel read), so the legend's ≈ counts and proportions match the ring panel exactly.
    • System prompt and tool schemas show the official figures verbatim; the message bucket subdivides into user / injected / assistant / tool by the fold's per-category ratios, always summing exactly to the official message figure.
    • Bar widths stay provider-anchored (the ring's fill), legend counts stay heuristic (the panel's ~ rows) — the meter's own split.
  • Corrected multimodal token estimates (DeepSeek Harness 0.1.1+) — image blocks are priced by DeepSeek's official image-size→token conversion, ported from the API docs' image token calculator: patch-grid rescaling, 117 tokens minimum and ~384 maximum per image under the provider's documented cap. The generic JSON heuristic underpriced an image ~3–8×.
    • The estimate flows into per-message, per-node, and per-step figures; attachments without known dimensions degrade to the previous JSON price.
    • Verified value-for-value against the official docs calculator (18 dimension cases) and against the official contextBreakdown fold on real session logs via the differential fold check.
  • Image attachments in two equal-width columns — the attachment grid is now a two-column equal-width layout, and every card shows its estimated token cost (≈N tokens, with an explanatory tooltip) beside the name, dimensions, and stored size.
