- The Context tab can no longer white-screen on backend failures — a corrupt, failed, or foreign
contextTimelinepayload (broken checkpoint restore, older/partial host data) used to throw during render and unmount the whole conversation view. The payload is now sanitized at the client boundary into a render-safe shape: every usable piece of data still shows, the rest degrades to empty sections, and the overall UI (stats board, composition, trend, events, browser) always renders. A React error boundary wraps the tab and the/contextdialog as the backstop — any residual render error becomes a styled error card with the offending message and a Retry button, never a white screen.- Malformed timestamps, header epochs, and cache-hit/cost numbers are hardened to show dashes instead of throwing.
- Verified by new client regression tests: corrupt payloads render with usable data, the modal degrades identically, and a throwing projection reader lands in the error card.
