New here? The 2.0.0 release notes carry the full picture — what WSL Manager 2 is, every feature, the download table and how Pro works. This release lists what changed since 2.4.1.
Your instances
- System resources (new): see what an instance is using right now — processor time, memory and swap — with a live graph that keeps updating while you watch.
AI assistant
- The assistant, and any MCP client, can now restart a virtual machine that has stopped responding: it asks the guest to shut down, powers it off if it does not answer, and brings it back up.
- Two conversations saved in the same instant no longer end up filed as one.
macOS
- The Homebrew cask now ships with Homebrew itself, so installing needs no tap:
brew install --cask wsl-manager.
And
- Smaller fixes and maintenance.
Downloads
