🌟 What's New in v1.0.0
It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since I started developing Booklore. What began as a tiny idea for browsing books has grown into a powerful tool now used by thousands around the world.
I’m deeply grateful for everyone who has offered support, feedback, and encouragement along the way, your input has shaped Booklore into what it is today, and it’s been incredible watching the project evolve with the community.
With this release, I’m thrilled to officially move Booklore out of beta and launch its first major version: v1.0.0. There’s still plenty ahead, refinements, new features, and continued improvements, but today’s milestone is one worth celebrating together.
Some of the Highlights:
- High-resolution cover support and search: Enjoy sharper, more detailed book covers. When adding books, high-res covers are extracted without modification. With the cover search tool, you can also search for high-res covers online and select your preferred version.
- Search by ISBN: Quickly find the exact book you’re looking for and retrieve accurate metadata and cover images.
- Book additional files support: Attach and manage extra files for each book, keeping all related materials organized. Huge thanks to @werwolfby for this incredible contribution.
- Manual bookdrop folder re-scan: Ideal for users on network or non-local filesystems that don’t support automatic inotify scans, now you can refresh bookdrop folders manually.
