Mjolnir v0.2.3 — Stability, Diagnostics & Quality of Life

This release focuses on long-term stability, diagnostics, and solving the biggest issue users reported:
Mjolnir dying when clearing all apps from Recents.

🛠 Major Fix: Home Capture Now Survives “Clear All”

The Thor’s “Clear All” gesture used to kill Mjolnir outright.
Not anymore.

Mjolnir’s Home interception service is now:

• Persistent
• Isolated
• Protected
• Immune to Recents → Clear All

Your Home gestures stay active no matter what.

🧪 New: Full Diagnostics Framework

A brand-new diagnostics system is included to help track down rare bugs.

• Toggle diagnostics on/off
• View, export, and delete logs
• Logs include gesture events, service lifecycle, notification state, settings snapshots, and more

All stored locally. No network access, no privacy concerns.

🎮 New Gesture Option: “Open Recents”

You can now assign the App Switcher / Recents menu to any Home gesture:

• Single tap
• Double tap
• Long press

A highly-requested addition.

🧭 App Picker Improvements

• Fixed Quickstep and system apps not appearing in the full app list
• Implemented a functional Blacklist to prevent selecting apps that break the launcher workflow
• Added intelligent slot-swap: assigning the same app to both screens now swaps them instead of duplicating

🔧 General Improvements

• Dedicated :keepalive process for stronger persistence
• Reduced background overhead in keepalive process
• Improved notification text clarity
• Cleaner state reporting

🔭 What’s Next?

Mjolnir will soon receive an architectural refinement:
A clean separation between the stable launcher engine and the toolkit UI.

This will make:

• The launcher even more reliable
• Settings easier to access
• Future tools easier to build

For now, v0.2.3 is the most stable and capable version of Mjolnir yet.
