ProsperoEden v1.000.070

pre-release2 hours ago

Warning

This is a pre-release. ProsperoEden includes an exact-title one-shot helper built from upstream
PS5-Lapy-JB-Daemon. Your jailbreak environment
must provide a local ELF loader on TCP port 9021. No separate Lapy payload is required for normal use.

ProsperoEden 1.000.070 fixes the app closing right after it starts when it is installed outside /data/homebrew, or on jailbreaks that give apps filesystem access before they start.

Bug fixes and improvements

  • ProsperoEden starts wherever it is installed. Installed on a USB drive, extended storage, an etaHEN games folder or any other place ShadowMountPlus mounts it from, ProsperoEden could not find its own files: the menu could not load and the app closed after a moment. It now reads its files from where the PS5 mounts the running app, whatever the source. Reported on firmware 4.50 and on 13.60 with kstuff-lite 1.11; confirmed fixed by both testers.
  • Updates from the menu work on those installs too. The update helper now updates the folder ShadowMountPlus mounted the app from, so a copy on a USB drive is updated in place and an older copy elsewhere does not stop it. An app installed as an image is not changed; the dialog says to update it by replacing the image.
  • Clearer error when the menu cannot start. The log now says whether the menu's shaders or its font failed, with the file and the reason.
  • Start-up trace for bug reports. Each start-up step, with the firmware version, is written to the kernel log (lines starting with [ProsperoEden diag]) and to /data/prosperoeden/logs/boot-trace.txt. If ProsperoEden closes or crashes while starting, sending that file, or a kernel log, shows how far it got.

Upgrading

Copy the PPSA99008 folder from the ZIP over the one you have, wherever it is (for example /data/homebrew/PPSA99008 or /mnt/usb0/homebrew/PPSA99008). Your saves, settings and profiles stay where they are.

If 1.000.060 starts on your console, it will also offer this update from its menu once homebrew.page lists 1.000.070.

Thanks

Thank you to the testers on firmware 4.50 and 13.60 who sent their logs and tried the fix, to Jones, Phronesis, szampan, BunkinBacon and Cold for testing, and to everyone who reports what they find.
