Add ProtonDB badges, mini achievements, collapsible settings, and duplicate-feature guards
Added
- Collapsible Quick Access Menu sections. Select a section heading to show
or hide its controls. Metadata, Compatibility status, ProtonDB badges, Game
trailers, Mini achievements, Logs, and Updates start closed; Versions starts
open. The Delisted Steam games tool sits under Metadata beside Metadata
cache. The main headings are larger and have icons. Background update checks
continue while Updates is closed. - Mini achievements. An independent, default-off Quick Access Menu toggle
restores Steam's small achievement progress bar beside Play Time using
Steam's own component and data. The setting is saved across reloads, and
disabling it restores the native display. Turn off mini achievements in
Decky UI Restored before enabling this feature. It does not add achievement
tracking to non-Steam games. - ProtonDB tier badges. An opt-in section adds community rating icons to
Home and Library covers for Steam games and matched non-Steam games,
a Steam-styled button before the game page's controller button, and a
bottom-right, icon-only Steam Store badge. Ratings use
ProtonDB's tier colors and direct summary data only, with a shared
24-hour cache. Choose each surface,
cover position, or focused/hovered covers only. No Gateway analysis is used;
missing matches or ratings stay hidden, and network errors are not Borked.
Home and Library switches remain independent on Steam's shared cover
renderer. Store badges follow the active main window and recover after a
Store page reload. - Known plugin conflict guards. Decky Metadata pauses its ProtonDB badges
while ProtonDB Badges is enabled in Decky Loader, and its game trailers while
TrailerHero is enabled. The affected section names the other plugin and
prevents enabling the duplicate feature. Saved choices are kept; an enabled
feature resumes when the conflict clears unless you turn its switch off.
If detection is unavailable, the panel warns without blocking unrelated
features. Mini achievements keeps its manual Decky UI Restored warning.
Current TrailerHero player and style markers also prevent duplicate playback
when that plugin leaves an injected player behind after Loader disables it.
Changed
- Quick Access Menu sections no longer draw a divider below their final row.
Dividers within sections remain. - Quick Access Menu now shows full compatibility choices, gives long version
and display values their own line, and adds clearer spacing and hierarchy
to help text and Metadata subsections. - Metadata's game counts no longer take controller focus. A divider marks
Metadata cache, the Delisted refresh action comes before its count and date,
and the trailer artwork note has no divider above it. - Metadata's section icon now matches the plugin's icon, and Compatibility
status uses the Steam Deck logo. - Metadata's refresh description now has the same space before its divider as
the cache description.
Fixed
- Quick Access Menu section headings stay in view when D-pad focus reaches
them below expanded controls or long plugin-conflict notes. - Trailers no longer shrink and grow again when you open or close a game page
with a save-status bar below the artwork, including after turning its theme
off and on. Taller full-width bars get more trailer space; hidden, compact,
or moved indicators do not. Steam's normal page animation still plays. - ProtonDB Home and Library icons use the local ProtonDB Badges fork's native
footer hosts and React portals. Steam games use their native app IDs, and
shortcuts prefer a valid saved Metadata Steam App ID before the fork's
Steam-first/Algolia name fallback. Changed or cleared matches refresh mounted
cover and game-page badges without retaining the previous rating. Direct
ProtonDB tiers are retained without Gateway analysis. - ProtonDB cover hosts remain mounted on native Library tab routes, including
the Non-Steam tab, instead of disappearing when the tab updates its route. - Cached ProtonDB badges no longer appear late or disappear early when moving
between Home, Library, and game pages. Cover badges stay with their native
cards during page animations, and the game-page badge stays with the
controller and settings controls.
